Trustees

Big news for Pearls Project: we’re becoming an independent charity.

Pearls Project exists to give women more opportunities to access holistic wellbeing support, safety, belonging, and choice. Our work is rooted in compassionate, relational support and trauma-informed practice, creating spaces where women feel safe, valued, and connected.

After many years operating successfully under the umbrella of other charities, and after exploration, reviewing and planning, with the support of our current Trustees, we’re ready to take the next step. To grow and expand the support we offer, and to ensure focused governance and resources that reflect our values and community, we’re becoming an independent charity.

We’re looking for new Trustees to join us in this exciting journey.

We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive board and welcome people with trustee or leadership experience, lived experience, professional expertise, or skills in strategic and systems thinking who share our commitment to seeing women feel valued, supported, and connected.

We're looking for a Chair, Treasurer and board members to join us.
We are looking for:
- Trustees with charity governance experience.
- Trustees who are will be curious and willing to do things in different ways in leadership and practice.
-Trustees who will bring compassionate charity leadership.

If you share our commitment to seeing women feel valued and supported, and to increasing belonging, safety, choice, and hope, we’d love to hear from you.

Recruitment Process:

It is really important to us that the people we work with are cared for well, and so our recruitment process is as follows:
  1. Meet us - Come and have a chat with us or give us a call to find out more about us, what we do, and whether you'd be interested in applying.
  2. Apply - You are then invited to submit an application form, giving you an opportunity to tell us more about you, your skills and what you have to offer to Pearls Project. We will also ask for references.
  3. Informal interview - We would then invite you to an informal interview in order for us to find out where you and your skills would best serve Pearls Project, and to give you a chance to ask any questions you may have for us.
  4. Induction & Training - If we both feel that it is a good fit, we would ask you to take part in some training, which will vary depending on the role you have applied for. We will also undertake DBS checks.
